Ok so with all the tins I had opened for the first week to try, I’ve managed to share a few amongst some friends at work who still vape or smoke. And, the nicotine pouches have been received with good reviews. I’d shared out all the flavors I mentioned in my last blog that I’d opened.
This week, I decided to try four new nicotine pouch flavors. Two of which caught me well and truly off guard.
We’ll start with one that had me a little apprehensive. SYX Icy Cola nicotine pouches. I honestly was expecting a lot of that aniseed taste you usually get in cola flavored things. But what I was met with was yet again a familiar flavor.
The flavor is so zingy it’s almost like it’s fizzing in your mouth. The aniseed taste isn’t what you’d expect, instead it reminds me of old school cola gummies. It’s quite pleasant to taste, and doesn’t seem to be overly icy as the name would suggest.
The nicotine hit is smooth as silk on the low and medium strengths, and has a wee bit of a punch that soon dies down on the strong and extra strong nicotine strengths. I’ve noticed this a lot as I try to work out which nicotine strength is perfect for me.
Next I absolutely have to talk about Zyn Dark Roast nicotine pouches. The team sent me a tin of this in 11mg nicotine.
Now if you read my last blog, you know I like flavors that go well with coffee. And this is a great one. You ever try those roasted coffee bean snacks you get at some of those fancy coffee shops or cafes? It’s sorta like having one of those in your mouth, but much softer and less bitter than the actual beans can be.
The nicotine hit is smooth, and the flavor carries exceptionally well with my morning coffee, and just randomly through the day. I really enjoyed this, and I will definitely be adding it to the need to order more list. I’d have to put this one in my top 10 nicotine pouch flavors so far. It’s well worth the try, especially if you’re a coffee lover like myself.
Next was a flavor I’ve been wanting to try and have had on my future order list, and thanks to the team I get to try it before I had the chance to order it.
And mate. Alp’s Tropical Fruit nicotine pouches does not disappoint. It’s a subtle tropical flavor that seems to build slowly. I had the 9mg nicotine pouches, and the nicotine hit was so smooth I honestly barely noticed it.
The flavor instantly gave me gentle hints of fresh tropical fruits, blended with what I can only describe as a little hint of bubble gum flavor. It’s not overly sweet and not super in your face, but it’s one of those I could easily use all day and feel happy about it.
I’ve got to try more flavors from this ALP nicotine pouch brand now. It really is a great flavor. Again, no passionfruit, so if you don’t like passionfruit like myself, I can say I didn’t taste any. If anything I’d say more juicy fleshed fruits with slight hints of citrus.
Now a while back in a Discord call with some gaming buddies from Canada and Nova Scotia, I was talking to some mates about wanting to try nicotine pouches, as the fella in Nova Scotia uses them religiously.
When I told him I had a tin of Rogue nicotine pouches on the way, he asked instantly, “Which flavor?” I had to tell him I’m not sure, as it was being gifted to me to try. He immediately replies, “It doesn’t matter. Rogue is the best nicotine pouch brand out there in my opinion.”
I received Rogue Wintergreen nicotine pouches.
The Wintergreen flavor again had me a little apprehensive. I’m picky. What can I say? But in saying that, this is one of those that caught me by surprise, and pleasantly.
At first it had a bit of a bite to it that settled as I started to taste the wintergreen flavor come through. It’s not chemical tasting at all. Instead it’s like you’ve picked a fresh leaf off a wintergreen fern and just started sucking the flavor from it.
So for a wintergreen nicotine pouch, this gets a big thumbs up from me. The mate was pretty on point when he said these would have flavor for days. It’s a nice one to have in the morning, especially after brushing the ol’ chompers. And it’s been quite refreshing on these warmer days we’ve had.
Yea ok, I like it. It’s wintergreen, and I guess I’m just gonna have to admit, I think it’s definitely going to be popular with anyone looking for a minty nicotine pouch flavor. Insanely good.
Now, I know I said four flavors, but ya see, the team sent me some energy pouches to try as well. I got the Hardy’s Strawberry Vanilla energy pouches, and the Chapo White Golden Mango energy pouches.
These were 75mg caffeine pouches.
First, the Hardy’s Strawberry Vanilla. Instantly I loved the flavor. It was like a soft toasted marshmallow that had tiny bits of strawberries stuck to it. The strawberry taste was super subtle, allowing the vanilla flavor to carry out the sweetness by adding in that warm toasted note.
Now I can suggest, don’t leave these caffeine pouches in for more than half an hour. Not because they’ll feed you too much of anything, more that they lose flavor or rather the flavor changes a bit.
As I started noticing the flavor die off, I noticed two things. One, the distinct taste of dryness in my mouth. Two, a slight acidic energy drink aftertaste. As long as I don’t leave them in to that point, they’re amazing.
The Chapo White Golden Mango energy pouches on the other hand. Holy flavor city. They seem to have a nice level of moisture to them, and the mango flavor is just out of this world. I didn’t seem to get that gnarly energy drink aftertaste from this one either.
They stayed juicy for quite a while, and I never seemed to get it to run out of flavor. Hands down I will consider ordering these energy pouches in the future. Amazing flavor for an energy pouch.
Anyways, I hope everyone has a great holiday break for those that get it. I know I have to work part of it at least, so I’m grateful for the time I get with the family when I can.
Happy Holidays, and a very Happy New Year to you all.
Kind regards,
Jack Simmons
