From Vaping to Nicotine Pouches: So Many Flavors

If you’ve been keeping up with the blog, you’ll know I’m not usually a fan of mint flavored nicotine pouches, thanks to the usual presence of a chemical or artificial flavor. This week I decided to give the SYX Spearmint, BAOW Pina Colada, KLAR Blank nicotine pouches, GR1ND Coffee Pouches in Pumpkin Spice flavor, and the X Booster Energy Drink flavored pouches a try.

I can honestly say whoever the mixologist is for SYX nicotine pouches has got one heck of a sense of flavor. So far, I’m not finding any one of these mint flavors with any hint of that synthetic mint taste. Now, I think I’d actually told ya’s about the peppermint nicotine pouches my last round, and how it had that powdery peppermint stick flavor to it. It’s so nice to find a peppermint without that horrid chemical or synthetic aftertaste.

The SYX Spearmint nicotine pouch was subtle at first, and then it started to show up the longer I had it in. It’s a nice subtle mint flavor, again no sign of synthetic or chemical aftertaste. I drink a lot of water, and this was actually a refreshing flavor to have while having a cold drink.

It’s not quite as strong a flavor as the Rogue Wintergreen, but then actual spearmint isn’t as strong as real wintergreen in my opinion. It doesn’t seem to have any extra flavor to it like gum or candy, which in my opinion makes it stand out more as a pure mint nicotine pouch. It’s like the spearmint definitely holds its own. Worth the try for sure.

Next I want to talk about the KLAR Blank nicotine pouch. Now as the name suggests, this is a flavorless nicotine pouch. And it lives up to that. The nicotine hit seemed to be rather aggressive with these extra strong nicotine pouches. At first I didn’t think I was going to be able to stand it, but I kept at it and it settled after about a minute in.

The one thing I do notice about these versus other pouches I’ve tried so far is that these seemed to be rather abrasive. My gum felt slightly irritated after trying it. And after having them for half the day, I felt like I needed a break from them and switched flavors, immediately noticing more comfort after the switch.

The nic hit did last ages, which I think is great. And I think anyone who’s looking to avoid flavored nicotine pouches would do good with these. I’m not entirely sure that they felt abrasive as a result of sensitive gums on my part, but none of the other pouches I’ve used so far have left me with that feeling.

I have one more nicotine pouch to talk about, but first I want to let ya know about the energy pouches and coffee pouches.

I can say if you’re an average energy drink consumer, you should like the X Booster Energy Drink flavored energy pouches. I had the 40mg caffeine pouches sent to me by the team at NordicPouch, and I can say the flavor was pretty on point with most of the energy drinks you’ll come across on the market.

It seems to last for quite a while as well. And the energy boost it gave seemed to be slow and steady. No real crash noticed after using a couple of them over roughly three hours on a night shift, which is something I do notice when I actually drink energy drinks.

One that kind of caught me off guard to start with was the GR1ND Pumpkin Spice coffee pouches. They caught me off guard because I want so badly to be able to try everything Shem sends me to try. And I always hope for the best, because so far I’ve not found anything I can say I absolutely wouldn’t try again flavor wise.

Upon opening the can, I was immediately hit with an aroma of wet coffee grinds. I could pick something else up, but I’m gonna be honest, to me, it didn’t smell pleasant at all. And I love coffee. But alas, a promise is a promise, so I popped one in.

Immediately I noticed these taste a hell of a lot different than they smell. The pumpkin spice flavor is riding the back of the coffee flavor perfectly, balancing out the acidity of the coffee beans. The sweet taste of the pumpkin mixed with the nutmeg notes added an amazing surprise for my tastebuds.

The boost they gave was comparable to having a small cup of coffee. I was really stoked with the surprising flavor in these. Hands down would try again.

Now for our last nicotine pouch this round. BAOW Pina Colada nicotine pouches. This was meant to be one of the first flavors I ever got from the team via an order. Sadly, they’d run out of stock at the time and were waiting on a delivery.

This made me a little sad, but the team made it up to me by throwing in a handful of extra cans, and now we’re here. But Shem surprised me a couple days after Christmas by sending me most of the flavors we’ve talked about so far, and a can of the Pina Colada.

This is their X-Strong nicotine pouch range. The nicotine hit from these is super smooth, and the flavor is way different to what I expected. I honestly kind of expected another toasted coconut flavor from these.

But I was super surprised by what I did get. What I got tastes like an actual pina colada. It’s creamy and sweet, and the coconut flavor just dances on the palate. I find I can leave these in for ages and the flavor persists.

I will definitely be buying more of these after the new year, if they don’t sell out again. I can tell why they sold out the first time. This is the kind of flavor you buy heaps of well in advance to avoid sell outs.

Before I leave you all for the week, I need to say a heartfelt thank you to Shem and the team at NordicPouch.co.nz. I haven’t vaped for a solid week now. And to top it off, I don’t have the urge to.

The nicotine pouches have helped me stay more productive at work and at home, and they’ve kept me from reaching for the vape all day. Thank you all again for all the pouches you’ve sent me to try, and for your help in kicking the vape to the curb.

Hope you all have an amazing and Happy New Years!

Kind regards,
Jack Simmons
